90 days to go before the U-19 Euro-2019 kick-off: Grassroots tournament started in Vagharshapat

A massive Grassroots tournament started on April 15, 90 days before the U-19 Euro-2019 tournamernt kick-off. One of the main goals of hosting the U-19 championship in Armenia is the popularization of football in general, and involvement of more people in Grassroots football. This is the main reason, why a Grassroots tournament is organized in the frameworks of the trophy tour campaign. 

Vagharshapat football academy was chosen as the place for the tournament kick-off, considering the fact that Armenian U-19 head coach Artur Voskanyan was born here. Voskanyan, as well as Armenian U-19 team captain Arsen Eghiazaryan and midfielder Sergey Mkrtchyan were present at the event. Artur Voskanyan made the first symbolic kick before the match between Jrarbi and Aygek, 2 teams from Armavir region.

Such kind of events will be held in all the regions of Armenia, while the winners of each region will compete for the title of Grassroots tournament title in Yerevan. The semi-finals and the final will take place on June 15, 30 days before the kick-off.
